Barbie Happy Family Pregnant Midge & Baby

Barbie Happy Family Pregnant Midge & Baby

Barbie's married adult friend, Midge, gets ready to welcome a new baby. Midge is part of a very happy family with her husband Alan and their first child Ryan. Now, there's a new baby sister on the way. Help Midge and her family get ready to care for their new bundle of joy. This Midge and Baby set comes with a handy 3-in-1 crib, table, cradle and lots of other things that a newborn needs. Also includes diaper, crib blanket, baby monitor, baby bottle and baby bottle warmer, baby wipe box with baby wipes, baby powder bottle, shampoo bottle, rattle, bear, receiving blanket and instructions. Midge measures approximately 11.5 inches tall. Alan and Ryan figures sold separately.

Barbie’s best friend Midge and her husband Alan (sold separately) are expecting their second child--a little girl! Happy Family Midge has a magnetic, detachable belly (baby fits neatly inside)--which allows her to transform from very pregnant to unnervingly svelte in a matter of seconds. If only it were that easy! While the magnetic belly isn’t the most life-like example for kids, it does allow younger ones to grasp the concept of a baby growing inside mommy. Midge comes dressed in a lavender floral dress, fuchsia heeled mules, pink earrings, and--of course--a wedding ring. Baby’s accessories include a 3-in-1 crib, changing table, and cradle, mattress, blanket, bathtub, two diapers, as well as tiny teddy bear, rattle, monitor, bottle, rubber ducky, and more. Safety information: This product contains magnets. Do not use around items that are sensitive to or affected by magnetic fields. This set also contains small parts and poses a choking hazard for children under the age of three. --M. Wilson

Day 3 of our holiday, and we were in Ciutadella, down by the water. There's a little market that runs up the steps, away from the restaurants, before you reach a square and some shops. I was hanging around waiting for my Mum to finish browsing, and my Dad was with her. I just photographed the stalls from the level above. It was very warm, and I hadn't adjusted to the heat yet. It always takes me a few days to acclimatise.

My brother was in Gran Canaria with his friends, and flew out to be with us on Day 6 of our holiday. It was a really lovely holiday. I was so relaxed, and I love spending so much time with my family. I actually only read The Age of Innocence, The Red and the Black, A Room of One's Own, and A Game of Thrones while I was there. I was also working my way through Arabian Nights Volume 1, but as I didn't finish it it can't go in my book diary.
Since I've been home, I've read The Seagull, a book of Elizabeth Bishop's poetry (because I never read the whole thing in my first year of uni), Madame Bovary, and now I'm on Mansfield Park. I forgot how easy - and nice - it is reading Jane Austen. One of my friends abhors Austen, and wouldn't even consider taking one of next year's modules because it included Austen on the reading list. I'm not sure if I dislike any author's work enough to not take a module for that specific reason.

Anywhoo, I've started driving again, my brother and I are playing lots of boggle, and our garden is looking absolutely beautiful.
OH, my Dad, brother and I watched Beauty and the Beast tonight. We watched it endlessly when we were children, and my parents with us (though my Dad watched them with us far more than my Mum, as my Dad actually enjoys the films). My Dad knew all the lines and all the songs. It was amazing, as it's been 10 years since we all watched them together. My Mum came in and watched the DVD as the castle fought back against the villagers. At the end of the film my Dad got all teary eyed, and I gave him a big hug. It's just such a lovely film, and I'm glad I watched it with everyone again.

Benny had to go for a check up at the vets, and my Dad and I went to collect him this evening. My Mum had mentioned to them a lump that I found the other day, but when we arrived the nurse said they hadn't been able to find it. I picked my darling Benny up and found it, and when she'd felt it too she said she'd go and get Barbara (the vet). She was in the consultation room, so my Dad and I waited on a sofa for 15mins before she arrived. After feeling around she said that it was a rib of his that curved out rather than in! My little baby! So he's totally okay, and it's not a hernia. So I showered him with kisses and we took him home.

My brother and I just watched a bit of TV, and I think I'll turn to Mansfield Park now. It's quite nice to read it, because I genuinely don't know how it ends. Usually classics are so famous you know what happens, or the basic plot line at least. Actually, I've read Sense and Sensibility, and did my IB Extended Essay on it, yet I couldn't tell you how that ends. It'd come back to me if I reread it though.

I've also begun knitting again. My Dad found me on Knitting Patterns Central and slightly teased me. I told him knitting was fashionable, but he totally doesn't believe me. A few of my friends can knit, and I saw a girl at Warwick Arts Centre knitting, and a woman in Toni and Guy who'd just bought some wool. And that's about all I base me 'knitting is fashionable' on. Still. I've not blocked any of the scarves that I've knitted using stockinette, and I've only just learned that it's the stitch most likely to curl. Every time I try another stitch I keep messing up though, so I've started my latest scarf (actually, I've restarted it about ten times as I've tried new stitches) with garter stitch, and I think it looks quite nice.

Anyway, I haven't written on here for ages. I find that during the holidays I don't actually spend as much time online, and will go a day or two without actually doing much online (just brief checks to make sure everything is a-ok), so I don't make the time to edit photos or write. I thought maybe about returning to a handwritten diary, which I haven't done since I was 15, I think. I don't know. It's a possibility.

Hope everyone is well. I'm looking forward to another nice day and lovely time spent with my family.

A Shot of [the partial] Hypothetical Games Station Set-up

A Shot of [the partial] Hypothetical Games Station Set-up

I was directed to create a "Games Station" for the baby shower so that guests could play, if they wanted. The idea was to not force anyone to do anything that would make them uncomfortable (i.e. play games at a baby shower), but still have them available as an option to the guests.

Here is what I came up with, to stage it. I figure it had to be set up so that anyone could just walk up and figure out them out, so I created little signs for each game, with directions.

On top of the box, you can see the little gift bag that will serve as the prize for the game winners.
